Black Bear Camp is a Members Only establishment.
Members may bring guests at our Guest rate.
Yearly Premimum Discount Memberships are optional.
Premium Members benefits include discount on rates as shown above,
as well as special rates on Member Discount weekends and Holidays.

NON-GUEST PARKING: Non-guests who meet guests here and leave their vehicles at the campground (like on game days) will incur a $5 parking fee.

Day passes are available from:
  • 2 p.m. to midnight on Fridays
  • 8:00 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays
  • 8:00 a.m. to sunset (around 7 p.m.) on Sundays
  • 8:00 a.m. to sunset on Holiday Mondays

If Monday is a holiday we may be open until midnight on Sunday and be open for day guests on Monday.

Overnight accomodations:
  • Primitive camping - 1 or 2 guests per tent. Add $5 for each additional guest. Add $5 per day for electricity.
  • Screen Cabin - 1 or 2 guests.  Add $5 for each additional guest. Add $5 per day for electricity.
  • RV - 1 or 2 guests.  Add $5 for each additional guest.
  • Twin bunks - 1 guest only
  • Full bunks - 1 or 2 guests
  • Private Rooms 1 & 2 and Cabins A & B (1 Queen size bed) - 1 or 2 guests. Add $10 for each additional guest. Maximum 3 occupants.
  • Private room 3 (2 Full size beds) - 1 or 2 guests. Add $10 for each additional guest. Maximum 4 occupants.
All rates include a 6% lodging tax.  Since 1995 all for profit Alabama campgrounds have been required to collect lodging tax.
Overnight accomodations are available starting at 2 p.m.  On Saturdays and Sundays you may check in earlier if your accomodation is available.
Check out time is Noon the day reservation ends, but you may remain as a day guest in the public areas of the campground until Sunset.

Same rates weekdays, weekends and holidays, all seasons.
Payment Options:

  • We can accept credit cards through our online PayPal shopping cart.
  • We do not accept personal checks 'at the door'.  Personal checks must be submitted at least one week in advance of your arrival.
  • Payment must be cash or traveler's check upon arrival unless advance credit card payment has been made.
  • Overnight guests may pay by credit card in advance of arrival using our online shopping cart.
Premium Memberships:
  • Free t-shirt with purchase or renewal of discount memberships
  • Discount on Day passes on Member Weekends
    • Silver members get free day passes on Discount Weekend Saturdays
    • Gold members get free day passes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of Discount Weekends
    • Platinum members get free day passes all year
  • Discount on bunks on Member Weekends
  • Discount on bunks on specified holiday weekends
Discounts vary by membership.
Member Discount Weekend is the third weekend of each month.
